Sansa has an awful crush on Evan from the ages of like 10 to 12. Like, blushes when he says hi to her, writing Mrs. Sansa Bolton on her papers, kinda crush. Arya teases her about it mercilessly. Evander is completely clueless. She gets over it, but unfortunately that's because she shifts her attentions to Joffrey 😑
The first time Arya breaks her arm is when Robb, Theon and Jon are 16 and left in charge while Ned and Cat go away on a date weekend. Evan is there because he practically lives there at that point. Robb freaks because his baby sister is sobbing in pain and he has somehow equated it to being his fault (Arya tripped running down the stairs and landed wrong). Evan steals the keys to one of Ned's cars and drives Robb and Arya (and all the others bc they all refused to be left behind lol) to the hospital in a trip Robb continues to claim is the scariest drive of his life (think Max driving in Stranger Things 2). Theon refuses to get in a car that Evan is driving to this day.
When Sansa's 14, after Joffrey breaks her heart, Evan goes with her to the eighth grade dance, as her cool older date. He does the whole thing — buys her a corsage, meets her at her dorm room to walk her there, matches his shirt to her dress, gets her punch for her, he's like the perfect date just to make her feel better. He is also the distraction, because Robb is beating Joffrey's ass elsewhere despite Sansa asking him to leave it alone.
Evan and Robb are the first ones Sansa tells about liking Margaery. She goes to Evan because he's the only one she knows who likes the same gender, and Robb is there bc he basically lives with Evan. She walks into Evan's house to find him and Robb pressed together on the couch sharing the same blanket while they watch a movie. Sansa is under the impression for months that her brother is dating Evan. She doesn't learn otherwise until Robb brings Talisa home.
Robb convinces Evan to dress up as the teenage mutant ninja turtles with him, jon and theon the first Halloween they know each other. It is in fact Evan's first Halloween, because Roose couldn't turn down the opportunity to get closer to the Starks when Ned reached out about taking Evander with them. The four of them do group costumes every year, and when they're a little older the other Starklings often get incorporated. Sansa insists on being Belle one year — Evan is roped into being the Beast by way of not being her brother, Robb is Lumiere, Jon is Cogworth, Theon insists on being Gaston bc he thinks that's the most manly costume, Arya decides to be a dancing knife and will not be convinced otherwise, Bran is Chip, and Rickon is a spoon.
Arya watches Princess Mononoke one year and dresses up as her for Halloween, and insists Robb and Evan be her wolf pack.
Arya learns quickly that Evan will catch them if they run and jump at him, no matter what. She very much does this All The Time, and teaches Rickon to do the same. Many a drink has been sacrificed to this game.
