My name is Lyrian Engel. I used to be the right hand of a very powerful spellcaster. I’m not allowed to tell you his birth name but you most certainly know him as the Night Wraith. We were like brothers until a beautiful woman came between us. He was madly in love with her, but she was to both our misfortunes in love with me. When Night Wraith learned of our affair, he murdered her and cursed me to eternal fatigue without ever being able to sleep. He himself resigned his position as Spellcaster and was recruited by your father to serve the afterlife, which he has done ever since. 

I've learned to live with my insomnia. When everyone else is asleep, I play the piano. There is nothing more magical than the sound of a single piano in the silence of the night.These are the only hours a day that make me forget my pain.

I do not regret much in my life, but there is nothing I regret more than to have fallen for this woman. It's taken me a long time to be able to open my heart again, but I think I'm ready now. Your father's story doesn't intimidate me. I've already been condemned to eternal suffering, so hell doesn't scare me anymore.
