David Bowie - Bring Me the Disco King

Whenever I listen to Bowie's albums from the 90's period, I keep looking for the reasons they got rejected so vehemently. I mean, I understand the reception of some from the era, but most of them were quite good and, if you ask me, they all prepared him for the naughts, when he became a postmodern version of himself. The tune in the link, for instance, was a self-cover, though he re-recorded a song he did with Tin Machine, yet the style of the composition would fit within The Next Day. Seriously, I am shocked his sequel to Earthling didn't feature that sound already, yet I assume Bowie's work with the soundtrack for Omikron caused him to put that on the backburner. Still, the piece remains an intriguing glimpse into another possible end of the era for Bowie.
