NGE Femslash Event: Femslashgelion 2025!

Are you an Evangelion fan who’s dissatisfied with the lack of femslash in the fandom? Feeling isolated in a sea of kawoshin and M/F ships? Participate in Femslashgelion, now entering our sixth year!

This year we have made some MAJOR changes to the event. Please read the rest of this post carefully!

This year, we have changed the event from exchanging prompts and fills to a (hopefully) easier and more chill format where there will be a daily prompt for you to use as inspiration for fanworks.

To be clear: this year, there will be NO exchanging prompts and fills. Participants will select which prompts they want to follow (you do NOT have to do them all) and will create their own fanworks. Think of it as being like inktober, mermay, etc. Please find the list of prompts below!

When? September 1st-September 30th 2025!

Where? Post your creations here on Tumblr! You can also post your creations on any other site you need to. (AO3, FFN, Twitter, DeviantArt, etc)

Rules:

1. No gross ships. This includes selfcest (ex. Q!Asuka x NGE!Asuka) and adult x child ships (additionally: Q!pilots x characters who were always adults, such as Q!Asuka x Misato, are not allowed).

2. No characters depicted as men either in canon or through other means will be involved in this event. This includes genderbent characters of any type (Female!Shinji or Male!Asuka), as well as some trans headcanons. However, characters who are depicted as women and girls in canon may be depicted as trans women and trans girls! This event is friendly towards trans women and girls.

3. Your creations can look however you want and be whatever length you want, but it must be evident that you put effort into them.

When? Signups last until June 30th. Posting begins on September 1st and runs until October 1st! Assignments will be given out on July 5th.

Where? Post your creations here on Tumblr! Having a Tumblr account is preferred and encouraged, but you can participate without one as well. You can also post your creations on any other site you need to. (AO3, FFN, Twitter, DeviantArt, etc)

How does it work? Fill out the Google Form linked here.

Give us three prompts, featuring (almost) any canon eva material or characters, and tell us if you want art or fic of your prompt. One of your prompts will be filled by a partner (similar to a secret santa) chosen for you by our moderators. Prompt examples would be:

Asuka x Rei (asurei) college AU

Maya x Ritsuko (ritsumaya) domesticity

Please note that there will not be any one-sided participation, and only one of your prompts will be chosen by your partner. You’ll need to tell us if you want to make art or write fanfiction, and if there are any pairings, scenarios, or source materials you don’t want to work with.

We will match you with a partner, and you’ll select one of their three prompts to fill! You can post your part on any date from September 1st-October 1st, 2024.

Each year, a handful of people will sign up and either forget or need to drop out. To ensure that everyone gets a prompt filled, there is a role called emergency prompt fillers! As an emergency prompt filler, you accept being contacted late in the event (potentially during the posting time frame) to make an emergency fill. You can sign up to be both a regular participant and an emergency prompt filler, or only an emergency prompt filler or a regular participant. It is up to you! However, please understand that by signing up to be an emergency prompt filler, you understand that you may be contacted late in the event and expected to fill the prompt relatively quickly.

Additionally, to prevent people from forgetting that they’ve signed up (this has happened before), we will be sending out emails weekly to remind people that they’re signed up for the event.

Rules:

2. If you change your Tumblr url, either the url of your main blog or your artblog, you must inform the mods.

4. No NSFW prompts, even of adult characters. No fetish material such as inflation or abnormal body parts.

5. No abusive or excessively violent prompts.

6. No characters depicted as men either in canon or through other means will be involved in this event. This includes genderbent characters of any type (Female!Shinji or Male!Asuka), as well as some trans headcanons. However, characters who are depicted as women and girls in canon may be depicted as trans women and trans girls! This event is friendly towards trans women and girls.

8. Post on Tumblr! This can include links to FFN, AO3, etc. Tag this blog @femslashgelion or use the tag #femslashgelion2024 so we can reblog it! Make sure you have also tagged your partner accordingly or have messaged it to their Tumblr account. They must be able to receive their part.
