WatchingĀ !!! at the Blockley last night, I realized (1) Nic Offer dances like my 8-year-old (actually my wife pointed that out), and (2) I love Mario Andreoniās guitar playing, which sounds a lot like Medium Mediumās Andy Ryder, which is probably not a coincidence since the whole ādance-punkā genre is a revival of the āpunk-funkā or āpostpunk funkā genre from the 80s, the gold standard of which is Medium Mediumās āHungry, So Angryā. (Today I realize that lots of people on YouTube like to spell āhungryā with as āhangryā.) Medium Medium still gets together for occasionalĀ gigsĀ and teases me with occasionalĀ newsĀ of a new album.
