Did Demosthenes mock Alexander ?
According to Aeschines in "Against Ctesiphon" (160) Demosthenes called Alexander "Margites." The poem about the colossally idiotic Margites belongs to "Homerica" (things attributed to Homer that may not actually have been composed by Homer). the name came to be used to insult people, akin to the modern offensive "retard," and just as insulting (with yes, with the same implication of mental disability).
Presumably that's not the only instance, but it's one we have an actual attestation of in the ancient sources.
