FF14 has this thing where you can side load a program and have other people see what mods you run and they can download and apply them. Meaning your character will look the way you want on other people's screen, too! It's mods though, so normally we're all hush-hush about it. The company that owns Final Fantasy Online doesn't want modded screenshots or videos out there because it might misrepresent the game. Also, if you edit in fortnite dances, Epic Games might be dumb enough to sue SquareEnix for it. That's what the company actually fears. Copyright. SquareEnix is working to ban it and has started legal actions with one of the creators. I never cared about people using Mare. But as you can imagine, a lot of neo nazi rhetoric pops up when people talk about FF14 mods. Degenerate this, gooner that. People will call you a sexual predator if you manage to get your boob slider to 101 instead of default 100. Sure, some people made some goofy shit, but I don't care. It's between them and who ever wanted to see them like that. If that catgirl wants to have tits as fat as she is tall, go for it. I've used mods to make my Mi'qote look more like the previous version from FF11, a Mithra. Although, how I read it, it's mostly the USA players again on their puritanical shit. I have a character on the busiest and most populated RP world on the US side. It's a slog to log in there a lot of times. On EU 80% of people do talk english, but the mini barrier stops a bunch of casual conversation here and there. But in a way, that's fantastic. Sometimes I would jump on my USA character and just logged off right away because of the dumb shit these people were saying in general and shout chats. There's this joke I picked up in FF14 like 6 years ago. JP regions play the game well and enjoy light RP, EU regions play well enough but do a little less RP. USA sucks at playing the game and roleplays the worst and loudest.
