Yes I know it was a pithos jar but the box was too gorgeous to pass up. Hope is kept inside the jar regardless of if it releases good things or bad things depending on the myth.

thinking about Elpis' broken mask, it shows that yeah she's reckless, but also I think it also hints at her feelings of not belonging, that she will never fit in with the fact she's not from Amaurot. it's cracked to hint at the fact she will always be an outsider
I just think that's fun
