Unfortunately, I’ve been stuck watching shows, docu series and movies on my list on Netflix. I decided to go back to a moment in Hip-Hop history and watch the Stretch & Bobbito: Radio that Changed Lives, a college underground Hip-Hop radio show that ruled New York radio in the 90’s. Infamous for their personalities, music choice, guests and freestyles; Stretch & Bobbito really carved the 90’s Hip-Hop era and made sure people were tuned in with the culture and heard great music regardless. I was starstrucked to see Nas, Jay Z, Fat Joe, Biggie, Talib, Big L, Crazy Legz, Rosie Perez, Bonz Malone, Wu-Tang, Marc Ecko, Cypress Hill, The Fugees, Big Pun, The X-Men Crew and many more. Even learning a few secrets from the special guests featured was a shocker, Nas at one point declares he wrote his first album Illmatic listening to Stretch & Bobbito, just to keep a certain aura and set a high standard. Sitting down and watching the documentary was like a trip through time, I really enjoyed myself and had fun watching the world best Hip-Hop radio show ever.
