While M was off at Las Vegas for a very short trip (just a couple of days), I decided to treat myself to a little field trip to DC because the cherry blossoms were starting to open earlier that week. Thursday the 26th was forecast to be a warm and cloudy day, but the sun was out when I went to catch my 9:22 MARC train into Union Station.
Not having a ton of time because I needed to finish my food shopping for the rest of the week, I went against my usual unregimented approach to travel and figured out a pretty decent itinerary this time around because I had a specific end time to meet (in this case, an Amtrak ticket that would get me back to BWI before 2)Â and I wanted to make sure I could make the most of my time.
The basic plan was as follows:
Is there a DC March today? Lot of people with cardboard signs on this train. Lot of signs about healthcare.

MARC has now added more than 5 times our normal capacity to help deal with unprecedented crowds. We will continue to adjust as necessary. — MTA Maryland (@mtamaryland)…

Sorry for not posting in a while 😔 I’m still trying to recover a bit from blood donating, plus commuting and school work have been kicking me a bit.
