Note: This is just lazy sunday writing
Pairing: Clint/Marc...but not really it’s just friends with benefits i guess
Warning: one sided feelings.
He wakes up with Marc still being wraped around him.
Normally this does not happen. Normally they just have sex and then at some point Marc is leaving silently, like a shadow. A bright white shadow that can’t hide in the dark. He is used to waking up alone. He expects waking up alone in the morning.
Everytime Marc sneeks into his apartment, Clint prepares himself for the moment he is leaving again. He tells himself that it does not hurt in the morning. He tells himself that they just have sex. Nothing more. Marc is not really the relationship guy and he can be happy with everything they have. Sex is enough.
But now Marc is still sleeping next to him and Clint has no idea what to do. He just stares at these dark soft curls while trying not to freak out. He should move slowly out of bed or turn around and waking Marc up with that movement. But he can’t. Instead he stays still, feeling the warm body next to him. It’s a nice feeling. He always amired Marcs body. Normally it’s a strong and solid wall of muscle, but now it’s soft, in a way Clint never saw before.
This is nice, he thinks and knows that this won’t last. It never last. And this moment will fade faster, than he can catch it. It will just hurt more, the longer he holds it. He wants the time to stop and to never move foreward. He wants to lie in that moment-
Marc moves.
“I’m sorry”, Marc mumbles and stands abruptly up. He is sleep drunk. Thats cute. “For what?”, aks Clint surprised and confused, while Marc is searching for his clothes. “Uhm, for staying”, Macy says carefully. “Oh, well it was not bad. You’re not that kind of guy i would push out, ya know”, jokes Clint and smiles. Marc is now wearing his pants and slips into the shirt. “Good to know”, Marc says still with a tired voice. “You seemd to needed that sleep. It was a long night huh” “It’s always a long night”.
Clint frowns and bites on his own lip to stop the next words. This whole God theme is a sensitiv topic and he learned that Marc doesn’t like talking about the God he serves. Or not serves anymore. It’s complicated. “I can call a taxi if you want or do you want a coffee? I can make you a coffee”. “I’m fine-”, Marc response and turns around. “but thanks.” A tiny little smile lies on his face and Clints heart jumps happy. “You’re welcome.”
Marc grabs the jacket from the ground and looks around again. “Have you seen my right glove?”, he asks curiose and Clint shakes his head. Marc sighs. “I will bring it to you, if i find it”, Clint promises and Marc nods. “We will see us”. With these words Marc leaves the room and leaves Clint alone in the bed. It’s okay, Clint thinks to himself. This is more than he could ask for.
