Maplestar is a calico and white she-cat with scars near her eyes. She has blue eyes, and is rather tall and toned.
Personality:
Maplestar is one of the most inquisitive and talented young cats to have traversed across clans. With her intellect, many survivors of former Black Skies looked to her leadership to grow and change while other leaders of the clans appreciated her stepping into place. Although she was originally wary of the Black Skies she later fought and advocated for peace and moderation between the clans and the Black Skies. Even so, old hatreds or manipulation from nefarious agents have constantly undermined her efforts to promote diplomacy between the rival factions. Maplestar has gone to great lengths to appease the costs of peace, even going so far as to stand her ground against the ancient spirits that birthed the Black Skies. She even attempted to sway the clan leaders, thought they felt that the Black Skies cannot be trusted. Though political tensions continue, Maplestar has made efforts to start to introduce the Black Skies - now NightClan - towards clan life to find a medium all groups would be happy with.
After the fall of Sterling, Maplestar became deeply affected by the trauma of the event. For a time she believed that her old clan had been right, snapping out of it only after Riot forced her to acknowledge that her anger was making her act exactly like Jitterbug had been - too aloof and uncaring. Though still strong and independent, she is no longer as friendly or as trusting as she once was, especially to the other clans. While she puts on a strong face, and even seems to seek the approval of the other clans, she knows that NightClan will never be good enough; and must put on airs just to not be attacked. She does believe she can help change them for the better - but for their own survival, rather than the true melting pot of clans. J
In spite of this, she admits to herself that peace may be possible if The Moon Court is removed, and admits that she wished she had parted with StormClan on better terms, implying that it may be possible to mend fences later on.
Maplestar is more bellicose now and will not hesitate to act militantly to those who threaten the security of her people or undermine peace, although she still draws the line at killing. She is filled with regret over her past actions (or lack of them), such as whether she could have saved Sterling, and the issue of Black Skies’ suffering in StormClan’s camp. As a result of her experiences, she is emotionally damaged. She isn't afraid to show who she is, nor is she afraid of her power.
