These vegan hand pies are great for a sweet treat because they are filled with a tasty maple brandy apple filling.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups peeled, chopped apple. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1 tablespoon brandy. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Pinch of sea salt. 1 package vegan pie crust store-bought or homemade. 2 tablespoons almond milk. 2 tablespoons coconut sugar.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix together the chopped apple, maple syrup, brandy, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt. Roll out the pie crust and cut into rounds. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto one half of each round. Fold the other half over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal. Brush the tops with almond milk and sprinkle with coconut sugar. Place the pies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
