The sweetness and savory flavors of these Maple Bourbon Glaze Smoked Ribs are expertly balanced. Classic smoked ribs are given a rich and flavorful twist by the maple bourbon glaze, which makes them a hit at any barbecue.
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons smoked paprika. 2 teaspoons black pepper. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. For Glaze:. 1 cup maple syrup. 1/2 cup bourbon. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim excess fat. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a rub. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Preheat your smoker to 225F 107C. Place the ribs in the smoker and cook for 3 hours. While the ribs are smoking, prepare the glaze by combining maple syrup, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a saucepan. Simmer until it thickens. After 3 hours, brush the ribs with the maple bourbon glaze and continue smoking for an additional hour or until the ribs are tender. Brush the ribs with the glaze again before serving. Slice the ribs and enjoy!
