About Maple: Her whole thing is that she works in a haunted antiques store but she doesn't believe in ghosts. Like, at all. Until she takes a weird little doll home and it starts to haunt her (in a friendly way though),, and then she finds out she's able to talk to ghosts! Which she didn't believe in!

The Art: Maybe one of the best things I've ever drawn, the pose and everything just work. I don't remember how I did the shading but I have never been able to replicate it even though it's in my usual shading style for the most part. Genuinely tragic because I think it looks so nice,,

^ the sketches were done at work on my whiteboard, which i then mashed together kinda poorly to create this. i thought maple's face was sooo cute, i had to include it.

cheri's parents are like never home and no one really comes to the store so she doesn't ever get anything she's supposed to be doing done,, except for her piles and piles of online college work. while she's behind the counter at the shop. she has no concept of priorities but she has a really high GPA and the store hasn't closed so it must be working somehow.

i love the idea of maple, who is a super quiet and shy computer science nerd, getting involved with like THE most talkative and energetic girl ever. and also that pretty girl's rich parents' store that she works at is haunted by like a ton of ghosts. no one can see the vision yet but i love them dearly.
