#map preview

Long time no update, huh?

Yo Panda is back! I guess Collectors kinda fell into a hiatus, and not on purpose. There isn’t any reason in particular for this, we all know what the last year has been like, but we haven’t made any updates here for almost a year before that.

I guess it’s just been life getting in the way. I have worked all through the last year, more so than normal, and all my hobbies have fallen to the wayside. But, I want to work on this game. I want to do this soooo bad. So I’m trying my best to get back on track. At the moment when I can I’m programming so that’s slowly coming together nicely. And it’s not like I didn’t do anything the past 2 years, a hell of a lot of future planning happened, like this map up top ^^ My plans are rough to say the least but the bottom pic is like 90% finished, and I have a lot of 90% finished future maps. I just need to put them together :)

Hopefully I can update you all more, I’m going to try for once a week, even if its the tiniest bit of progress!

Hello! Panda here~~ It’s 2019!

How did that happen??

Oh well, here we are in a new year, a new year to get stuff done! Collectors is still alive, the gears of creativity turn slowly... Though as an update have a little sample of a map I have put together! I wonder where this could be? I’m not telling :P But I have made a lot of progress with maps, so all outside portions are done! All maps for inside on the bottom floor are done, for now...maybe touch up later. Planning for upstairs maps - started! Programming? Not so done. 

We want to make a demo but having jobs and getting art done is harder than we thought, so it’s taking a while. But items/maps and the story script are raring to go for when I can put them together! Not much of an update, but if you have any questions or if there is anything you want to know (that I can tell you) shoot a message to the blog here~

OMG It’s a tiny map preview!

I have been slaving over the last few weeks, putting together the parallax maps for the beginning of the game. And I know this isn’t a big bit to show off but Its taken me so long, and one time I didn’t save and the laptop restarted and I hated myself, but I pushed through!

Hopefully I can finish adding some more details in and then I can start putting them in the game :O

Also any hints and tips on improving my pixel art is welcome! I made all of the assets you see here and many more for the outside section, that you will see later, but I can always improve~~

Hello~ I'm back with another screen shot! It's another one of the outside maps, leading us to a very ominous front door~ The outside section is quite short, but I still wanted the maps to look good and help build the atmosphere. I really wanted them to look like we are truly lost in a secret part of the woods.

I recently found and played through some of the very early builds of the game, and these maps have definitely changed a lot! But something about being able to make it all yourself is very satisfying, and its a great feeling seeing your vision come alive!
