My take on Hollow Knight x Pokemon as someone who dabbled in Competitive Pokemon for fun. For the MC, it HAS to be ghost type. I picked Honedge since it's also inside a vessel (sword), gets stronger through a rock (Dusk stone Evolution) and has a variety of slashing move for your sword needs. For Quirrel, I knew instantly that 2 things are a must: SPEED and the ability "Sharpness". So Hisuian Samurott is my pick here, despite the visuals not being a complete match, it has the ability and adequate speed. For Hornet, I thought that as she's the most adept fighter in the 3, she will prefer something with more ultility, in line with her supposed tool-based playstyle in Silksong. Talonflame, having impressive offensive prowess and insane ultility came to mind.
