Yet again, L was bored. He had been forced to deal with the same dull, superficial people, ones who had about as much depth as a puddle after a rainstorm. Every day was monotonous and the same, and he just couldn’t wait to get out of the institutionalized prison called high school. 

Not that his home life was any less tiresome, but at least he was able to be by himself, instead of listening to the endless, petty conversation of his peers. Thankfully, he was in his last class of the day: advanced chemistry. L gazed out the window, half asleep and not even listening to what his teacher was saying. He’d read up on all of the content already, so there was no need to. His eyes focused on the clouds forming in the sky as his mind wandered, before something came into his line of vision. Is that a... notebook? He decided to go investigate after class.
