The End?
She turns to look at the sunset so she won’t have to look at Booker’s face. There’s a click, a flicker in the corner of her vision that’s just Booker lighting a cigarette. The two of them watch the sun set over the Thames in silence.
It’s the team, Nile thinks, and bumps Booker with her elbow. He elbows her back. They stand there, shoulder to shoulder, looking out into the night, and for a little while, everything outside their little bubble doesn’t matter.
