What happens to Toyland during the other months of the year? It seems like alot of work to set up Do you have two games or is it all on one?
Hello! I actually do have several copies of Animal Crossing and all of my towns are on separate cartridges.
During the year Toyland is kept in the winter months (usually between Dec 15th and Jan 4th because of the Christmas tree lights) by time travelling. I’m not concerned about missing out on the other seasons and events during the year because, in my first and main town, Toywater, I never time travel and enjoy playing the game day by day. I have been playing now for three years come January 1st and have never missed a day, season or event! So when I decided to begin work on my second town, I wasn’t worried at all about missing out on things by keeping it permanently winter because I had Toywater! I also don’t play in Toyland everyday. I can often leave it for long periods of time making sure I write down the date I last played so I know where to begin from when I want to play there again. It’s become very much a Christmas project and I mostly work on and play there during the festive season. So it’s not really a lot of work (no more so than any other town) because it’s always winter and everyone and everything stays as you see it! Toyland is the town I am most proud of, however, as Toywater has been with me from the beginning, it holds the most special place in my heart.
