content warnings/things to mention: gn!reader, kuroo and u flirt but as friends, food mentions, swearing, kuroo is a little shit, kenma uses he/they pronouns

🏐you and kuroo are childhood friends

🏐when he met kenma, he forced the three of you to become a little friend group

🏐when kuroo found out that the two of you both got into nekoma, he begged you to be their manager so of course, you agreed

🏐it's not like you're that interested in anything else. plus, you get to spend time with your best friend.

🏐once kenma came to nekoma, you made sure to take extra special care of them and make sure he stays on track.

🏐you're a pretty great manager (because you're awesome and talented and perfect baes <3). you take good notes and you take very good care of the team

🏐you always get kuroo extra snacks though. as much as you love kenma and would do anything for them, you may or may not love kuroo just a littol bit more.

🏐you say that kenma's your favorite because he's chill and not a flirt like kuroo, but the three of you know better lol

🏐that being said, you and kuroo are close close friends. you nap with each other and lean on each other a lot and you're not afraid to playfully and casually flirt with each other.

🏐at first, the team (minus kenma of course) thought the two of you were dating, but after seeing the two of you fake gag at the thought and then clearing it all up, they never made those jokes and they make sure to clear it up with other people who think you're dating each other

🏐he's very much like a dad though. or at least a really attentive uncle. he makes sure kenma eats and doesn't spend too much time on video games and he makes sure you eat, stay hydrated, and don't overwork yourself.

my two favourite teams i love them sm was it unfair making seijoh’s so much longer because i like them more? yes. do i care? no.

okay so oikawa approached you to ask you to be their manager

the glares you got from other girls when they saw you talking to their beloved oikawa-senpai <3

as soon as you entered the gym, yahaba saw you and then dropped the ball in his hands

he then immediately ran over to kindaichi and started whispering to him

then there’s a ball at your feet and yahaba is running over to you

“yoohoo~”

“yahaba shut the fuck up and leave our new manager alone. no one wants to hear your crusty ass flirting”

iwaizumi is immediately next to you and he takes you aside to whisper something to you

“i’m really sorry. if shittykawa forced you into this, don’t feel bad about leaving alright? this team is a mess and oikawa makes rash decisions.”

“mean iwa-chan! she agreed of her own free will!”

“wait actually? oh i’m so sorry then you should leave while you can”

hanamaki and matsukawa like to fuck with literally everyone and they will use you to help them

they got the whole team in to prank oikawa

they pretended that they were actually part of a fucking basketball club

you even borrowed a bunch of basketballs from the actual basketball team

oikawa fucking shrieked and started crying

you always comfort them after losses

the whole team takes their losses really hard so you always try to comfort them and maybe treat them to some food after

they all really respect you even kyoutani

kyoutani literally respects you more than oikawa and it lowkey pisses him off

you like to give motivational speeches before games and literally every time there is at least one tear shed

so we all love them but some of them are not the smartest

cough matsukawa cough

you sometimes tutor them if they need extra help!!

the whole team treats you like you are their lord and saviour and im pretty sure most of them had a crush on you for maybe at least five minutes

whenever you go to a game, you have to stop oikawa from finding ushijima to beat him up

“no because youre going to come crying to me when he ignores you”

SEIJOH HAS BEEF WITH LITERALLY EVERY TEAM AND ITS ALL BECAUSE OF OIKAWA??? LIKE HOW???

you try to get kunimi to participate in more activities but so far nothing has worked

the man just wants to sleep but like hell you’re gonna let him get what he wants

the team has a groupchat and for some reason THEYRE ALL AWAKE AT UNGODLY HOURS AND SPAMMING MEMES LIKE PLS GO TO SLEEP

theyre all really chaotic and stupid and they would honestly be lost without you

lets get this straight even though theyre not they are FUCKING LOUD

bokuto does not shut up. ever.

yukie and kaori invited you to the team since both of them were third years and would have to leave eventually

as soon as you entered the gym, bokuto immediately just started talking to you about everything and anything

konoha had to come up to him and yell at him to shut up

akaashi teaches you the basics of taking care of bokuto’s emo mode and soon enough you have the list of over 34 weaknesses memorized

team has sleepovers sometimes <33 but the only way they can be summed up is “ALL HELL HAS BROKE LOOSE GOD IS DEAD AKAASHI IS WEEPING”

this team is fucking WILD right

there is never a dull moment in practices

between bokuto’s screaming, konoha beating up bokuto, and washio silently judging everyone, you’re not sure what you’re meant to pay attention to first

yukie tells you to just ignore them and she takes you to hang out with her and kaori

yukie and kaori are probably your best friends at this point

whenever you have practice matches with nekoma, kuroo tries flirting with you which leads to the whole team glaring at him

kuroo saw his life flash before his eyes that day

whenever you’re at training camps, you all stay up really late playing games and stuff

akaashi always wins. everyone thinks he’s cheating

One word: chaotic

Seriously, there is not a single dull moment when Oikawa Tooru is your captain 

Lots of mutual teasing and gentle bullying 

He calls her [Name]-chan whether she likes it or not

She often ends up being the mediator for Kyoutani and Yahaba’s fights, as well as Kyoutani’s personal lecturer whenever he misses practice 

He respects her like he respects Iwaizumi for some reason and no one can figure out why 

All of their guesses are wrong 

She also ends up baring the burden of trying to get Kunimi to put more effort into things. All of her attempts have failed so far. 

When she’s not breaking up his fights with Kyoutani, she gets along pretty well with Yahaba because he’s generally fairly calm and easy to talk to. 

Training camps are hell with this team. There’s Kunimi who refuses to get up early, Iwaizumi who gets up too early, and of course Oikawa, who feels the need to stay at practice far longer than needed(not that that’s anything specific to training camps, it just gets worse during training camps for some reason).

She’s in a group chat with the other third years, some of which feels the need to send her memes at 2 AM

You can probably guess who it is 

She loves her team, she really does, but she could definitely do without Oikawa’s fangirls, who enjoy watching their practices most days…

Reon was the one to recruit her, when they were in the second year

Too much teasing from Tendou. Much more than necessary. Stop that.

She has to break up fights between Shirabu and Goshiki whenever Tendou isn’t there(or he just doesn’t want to).

Speaking of Shirabu, she gets along well with him, as he’s… relatively calm compared to the rest of his team. 

Friendly banter with Semi happens a lot. 

Dealing with Kawanishi’s lack of motivation is a task in and of itself, honestly. He’s just so lazy. 

It’s nothing compared to trying to calm Goshiki down after he gets too fired up, though. 

She discusses strategy with Ushijima sometimes, since she can see the court from the sidelines, which is a slightly better view than on the court.

(P.S. I’ve decided to do away with my ‘rule’ about having a set amount of headcanons per request, instead I’m going to write 7-12 headcanons depending on how inspired I am by the request)

Yaku was the one to recruit them, much to Yamamoto’s delight(they finally have a manager!!!!)

Lots and lots and lots of teasing from their precious captain, especially if they’re on the shorter side

and by precious I mean shithead

Yamamoto comes to them very frequently for advice on talking to girls, regardless of their gender. It’s kind of a problem, actually.

They often get charged with the task of dealing with Lev when Yaku doesn’t want to, which Lev honestly prefers, because he gets kicked much less(usually)

They also end up having to deal with attempting to get Kenma motivated. The key word here is attempt.

They generally get along well with Inuoka and Shibayama, as well as Kai, because of their amicable and friendly personalities

Often end up being the one to break up the fights Inuoka and Lev get into on whether cats or dogs are better

read: vague disputes where one of them is saying they’re both good but they just prefer the dogs/cats, and the other agreeing that they’re both but listing reasons why they prefer cats/dogs. It literally never escalates beyond that. Kuroo is bored.

Starts crushing on them pretty much instantly and tries to woo them by Turning On The Charm(i.e. bad pick up lines and flirting)

It works pretty well honestly, and they start dating within about 3 weeks 

If they’re a fairly new manager who’s just getting the hang of volleyball and all its various terminologies, he’s always down to sit and help them with learning the basics. He’s a surprisingly good and patient teacher

Loves showing them off to everyone. Karasuno and Aoba Johsai had a practice match one time and he did not hesitate to rub the fact that he had a cute s/o in Tanaka and Nishinoya’s faces (”Hey check out my adorable manager s/o ;) which u don’t have ;)”)
