The government has been captured by concentrated capital. We have a duopoly in this country which functions as 1 party - the money party bought by big pharma, fossil fuels, predatory lending, for-profit health insurance, the prison industrial complex, goldman, the military industrial complex, the NRA, and other special interests that lobby congress to influence policy for their own benefit at the expense of the good of the working class people of this country. We don’t have a people’s party in this country. Elected representatives fight for their donors, not their constituents. The mainstream media is essentially just another branch of government because they are bought by the people they’re supposed to be exposing.
