I agree, I hated it as a child when a brilliant fantasy world I loved embraced the "let's send humans there or the characters from it to the real world FOR HILARIOUS HIJINX" and I hate it now too. I mean, I guess that is why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors but I do NOT see the appeal.

I think a lot of people just don't even think about it, and go in there and just kill them without thinking, and never consider this ONE bug, who LOCKED THEMSELVES IN WITH THEM and we don't know if it was before or after the city lockdown or before or after Lurien went to sleep and AAAAAAh. This is why I enjoy your stuff. You DO think about these things, often from several different points of view.

oh dang true! ik the first time i saw them i was like ‘whats this random husk doing up here??’ like, its such an odd detail, why have that one relatively unremarkable enemy in the same room as the dreamer? then if you dreamnail them you get all the dialogue about watching over lurien for as long as they can an d,, Aaaauuuuuuu

You just finished a major story, it’s ok to feel distant from your other work and take some time. It sucks that you WANT to do it and feel no interest, but that’s ok. You just gave birth to a entire multipart story. It’s ok to need recovery time.

Thank you, all. I really appreciate it. It really feels lonely here without him around, but everyone’s kind words made me feel less lonely and that means a lot.

It’s been a rough week; I’ve lost two beardies before, but they died of old age. Hot Sauce wasn’t old, so it’s been hard moving past the thoughts of what I might have done wrong along the way to exacerbate or even cause the illness that killed him, even though I know there’s no point in thinking about it now.

But I have plans for a little memorial for him. And I shall do him a small lizard honor for Day of the Dead when the season rolls around. And I guess that’s that.

I am making a CAT PATIO for my TINY ORANGE ASSHOLE so that she can go OUTSIDE and I will not have to go there WITH her.

The most annoying thing about brainmeats is that sometimes the things that were working great and making one functional just... don't work anymore one day. For seemingly no reason. Love you.
