i think that. if Jax was ever "restored" to the circus and Caine gave her a new body.
i think it wouldn't look too different. maybe a bow, maybe a little hair puff. but nothing much.
and the others would stare. in confusion, in slow realization, in recognition.
i think somebody asks. and somebody else answers. and Zooble says "I think that's for Jax to say."
and Jax panics. she panics and she gets defensive and she says that she doesn't fucking know, and she knows she looks stupid, and she doesn't even know why Caine BOTHERED with this stupid new body when-
and somebody - maybe Pomni, maybe not - tells her she looks good. not handsome, not pretty, just good. leaves her with the space to decide what "good" means to her.
idk I just don't think Jax knows what she is. idk if she would call herself a woman, or trans, or anything. i think she's spent so long afraid of being anything *besides* a man that she can't even fathom what it might mean to stop being her dad.
