Hiking in the midst. Reflecting on the idea that not everybody can hike. Greatful I can walk again and away from civilization. Not being able to do this in 5 years was one of the saddest moments , I thought I’ed never recover and get out of the hospital routine. We were hoping to hike and maybe do yoga mid trail where I do acro yoga , but it rained. I enjoyed it, it was peaceful and muddy and no one about. But there were tourist that shouldn’t be on this trail, not to mention Lena brought something important up. It is weird when people ask “how are you doing ? “ Instead of just “hello. “But they don’t really care because they just keep walking-no care, no stop. It was an American thing, I’ve always laughed about and ignored. I told her actual Hawaiians will ask what’s up and actually stop to talk to you. So we ignored the tourist who were dressed for the beach, yet way up above the clouds. You can’t see that im just by a cliff, it’s so Harry Potter forest wizardy, and we were up here reflecting and making the most of her last trip she will be having in a long time. #napalicoast seemed as if it were higher in the air like Mauna Kea . I should’ve brought camping gear and grandpa, I just wanted to avoid the December news of covid 19 although I knew it was spreading only in China (then), Because we were in the other side of the world in the middle of the sea in a fairytale land which currently became paradise of torture fir some. While we reflected no one was prepared for the lockdown, tornado, hail, flood, quarantine that was about to happen under the coconut trees. People don’t take paradise precautions seriously, and that is why I’m ever grateful I can fly back and forth home and be calm about the hazards to come.
