i keep being worried about the x-men bc like only one of the three titles looks like itll be halfway decent
Well technically All New All Different whatever other modifiers Marvel wants to cram in there Wolverine is an X-title (and I’m going to be tentatively optimistic for this/pull it and hope they know how to write Laura), as well as Old Man Logan (but I’ve never cared about OML and will be skipping this unless it’s amazing). Aaand then I guess you have the Avengers teams with mutants on them too? (Or at least, all the obnoxious people who like complaining about X-fans complaining about how Marvel’s mistreating the X-Men like to count all those in their ‘see look how fucking many X-Men books there are you crybabies!!’ so.)Â
Anyways. Yeah, All New X-Men looks terrible b/c why in the hell is this book still a thing and also not rly feeling the Hopeless love rn. But I’m excited for both the others. Extraordinary X-Men looks hopefully v good (if you look past the Ramos art and contrived Inhumans vs. X-Men plot and fact that they didn’t go w/ X-traordinary for the title? idk I’m excited nonetheless) and, while Uncanny seems like a rather odd blend of X-Force and the Brotherhood (and tf not really worthy of the Uncanny title imo)…. and has Land on art (hopefully that’ll change after the first arc), it’s also got Cullen Bunn on it, so I’m going to stay optimistic here too. So two out of three ins’t too bad?
Bleh idk I feel like there’s really nothing in this All New, All Different (totally the same, forever) Marvel Now that I’m actually excited about. Sure there are a few books that I hope look promising, and a few more that have potential, but… yea. Not really that excited for the House of Ideas’ Bold New Direction. Maybe if the overarching mutant plot all the X-Men/X-books are being forced into weren’t some totally unwanted, totally derivative retread of Decimation, Marvel!!
eta: OH AND THERE’S X-MEN ‘92 EVEN THOUGH IT’S OUT OF CONTINUITY IT SOUNDS EXCITING
