The progress so far! I'm managing to get it to stand as long as there's no breeze 😂 Definitely going to need a base for this one. Today is my birthday. I'm not doing anything special for it because depression is kicking my butt at the moment, so instead I'm spending it on my best therapy - tree making! It's too hot to do my other favourite anxiety relieving activity of dog walking and besides, they're quite happy watching all the birds that keep flying in and out of the garden. My work space today! I decided to start using up some of the amethyst clusters (of which I have many) and make some trees with bases. This will probably last as long as today, because attaching them is my least favourite thing to do which is why I started making freestanding trees, so I didn't have to faff about with adhesive. However, I do like the effect so now and again talk myself into doing it because... well its a change and it looks good. Plus I'm going to have to do something with all the clusters I bought (because I have no self control with shiny or colourful things)! Tomorrow it'll all be covered in rubber bands and whatever else to hold it in place while the adhesive cures, and it should be all done by Thursday.
