Let’s quickly touch base on what’s was going on these past couple weeks:

I started taking a class called Eternal Foundations by Bob Yandian. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.“ Matthew ‭7:24-25‬ ‭NIV. I wanted to be able to stand firm with my feet planted on a solid foundation so I won’t be toppled over by the enemy. ‬

One of my favorite Christian Rap song is, Start Over by Flame feat NF. There’s a part that goes, “Come to me all who are weary with heavy burdens I’ll give you rest. Separating you from your sin, as far as the east is from the west.” “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter ‭5:7‬ ‭NIV‬ “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm ‭103:12‬ ‭NIV‬. He wants us to cast all our cares on Him. So we won’t be shackled by our sins or held down by the weight of this world. We don’t have to have it all together or do it all on our own. “I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength.” Philippians ‭4:13‬ ‭NCV‬. Be encouraged & know, “If He is not the God of all than He is not the God at all.” (Don’t you just love how Scripture interprets Scripture!?)

I also wanted to share with you the virtue of patience. This is something we all struggle with in this day of instant everything. When it comes to some parts of our lives where we don’t get what we immediate want then we pout, cry & throw a tantrum like we are 3 years old again. “You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” ‭‭James‬ ‭4:2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬. ““I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, …”” Jeremiah ‭17:10‬ ‭NIV‬.

Pastor Greg Laurie said this; “If the request is wrong God says no. If the timing is wrong God says slow. If you are wrong God says Grow. If the request, timing, and you are right God says go.” If we don’t get an answer to our prayer right away it doesn’t mean God isn’t listening. We simply need faith & patience & to trust that the Lord is working for us. “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John ‭15:16‬ ‭NIV‬. Roman wasn’t built in a day guys nor was the earth create in a day. It took 6 days for the Father to create this world we live in. I’m pretty sure He was using that as an example for us; to grow a little each day. Take your time & remember to breathe, (He did rest on the 7th day shouldn’t we follow his example.)

Inspiration behind the Cross Body Bag: It was suppose to be a clutch. 

Literally that is what I set out to do but it just took on a life of it’s own. I started out wanting to make it a small hand clutch that you can hold underneath your arm but it had to be big enough to hold a phone. My phone is 7 inches long and I thought that I would make it 8 inches so it’d fit with a little wiggle room. Then I wanted to make it tall enough for my phone in case I wanted my phone standing up. Then I wanted to make in big enough to hold all my other things. So like I said it took on a life of its own. But that I’m complaining I’m quite happy with the way it turned out.

I love how it uses simple repetitive stitches that creates such a beautiful bag.

& this yarn was such a joy to work with. I never knew cotton could be this soft

I encourage you all to check out lifelivedbeautifully blog (you can also find her on IG.) She is currently doing a fashion week, “Are you worshipping what you wear or worshipping through what you wear.” When I started volunteering at my church I notice what they wore was different from what I wore. There was a woman around my age and all her outfits were always perfect. Yet they weren’t showing off more than they need to. That’s when I decide to purge my closet for all the deep V’s cleavage showing or too tight/too loose clothing. Because I saw that I didn’t have to dress as the world did to look good. I can wear clothes that would glorify my God & look good doing it. ➰〰My favorite things all in one shot.

I had some people tell me what I should be doing with my life. It’s funny because they meant well but always God knows better. When listening to the radio this morning it was said, “Life is like a puzzle and God has the box top.” We have pieces of our lives but God see & knows the big picture. Whether your struggling with what to do next or even what to do now seek God & let Him directed you. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew ‭7:7‬ ‭(NIV)‬ Have you ask God where He wants you to be? When I asked He answered, “You are right where you need to be. Trust in Me.” Trusting God is something I need to do everyday of every hour of every minute. Song of the day: Lord I Need You by Matt Maher 〰 Am I the only one who hates taking pictures for patterns? I love writing them but the pictures come out a bit weird. 

Many of you might have seen my story on IG about “Taking my journaling to another level.” What I mean by that is I want to be consistent with my relationship with God. I have a hard time sitting and studying the Bible on my own. I’m praying that using this journal will change that. I know I love study guides because it get me to read & find answers and remember. I won’t just skim through the pages and forget what I read later (I have short term memory loss and writing things down helps me remember much better.) Not only will I be meditating on God’s words but I can actively write down my thoughts and what I’ve learned. I encourage all of you to get in the Word the way you know how. Ask God what is the best way for YOU to learn more about Him. It might be trial and error but never stop. “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8 ESV // My socks are going to be so ugly but I’ll love them forever! 😆

The other day I went all around town looking for a project bag. & then I prayed about it. Low and behold I got one today. My sister is learning how to sew and made this cute little bags that perfect for small projects. Moral of story: Pray before you do. If I had invited God in earlier and listened for His answer I wouldn’t have wasted time and gas yesterday. That brings me to one of my favorite verses: “pray without ceasing;” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭ASV‬‬. It’s one that I have to continuously to remind myself of. No matter what you are doing or where you are in your walk/life; God wants to talk to you. He wants to hear your voice always. Even about the little things. So I want to remind you all to pray before you do & “pray without ceasing.” // So happy I can finally start my socks with the perfect project bag 🙌🏾〰➰

Let’s take a lesson from them and renew our minds & hearts as we move on to this new season of the year and maybe our lives.
