It was just less than 8 years ago that I walked into a ballroom on campus for a weekly @iucru gathering and heard @bguckenberger speak for the first time. God used her to remind me of the heart He gave me for the orphan and vulnerable child and to show me He was not going to let me forget about it. Though if you would have told me then I’d be here now, I would have never believed you in a million years. This past week I had some horrible stomach thing and ran around for the 7th week between doctors trying to figure out why my hand is not healing. Well, God knew - He knew this weekend would be full of time together and hearing from her that would continue to challenge my thinking but bring a hope, healing, and clarity that shines His faithfulness and call to be the difference for one over all else. May I continue to look out at the beautiful mountains here remembering that He can move them... He has, He is, and He will. Beth - thanks for pouring out and sharing what God is teaching you, friend.
