This little 7 year old boy has become my buddy. It can be hard being the youngest one at Rancho, but I have loved seeing his confidence grow with each week. A few weeks ago we were writing his sponsors a letter, he was drawing them a picture, and all he wanted to share were his many Bibles and all his favorite stories in them - he did really well on a test the boys had on the Bible stories they had been learning and he was so excited! Later one day during exam week he came back from school and I imagine he told me and others over 25 times in a matter of hours that he got an 88% on his math exam that day, without even studying - school doesnât come easy to him but then he asked if I would stay to help him study for his Spanish exam the next day. Today, he saved me a seat right next to him at lunch and he wanted to show me how he was growing strong and could cut up his own pork chop and eat it all to the bone - when he first came not long ago he wouldnât hardly eat and did not know how to use silverware. Praise God for the way Heâs moving in this little boys life, moment by moment. #b2bmty #makeadifferenceforone #ranchodelrey #CLoveinMĂ©xico (at Rancho Del Rey boys' home)
