My take on 'Viggo lives AU'
He goes and sacrifices his life for Hiccup as canon.
But! He doesn't die.
What happens instead is that his other eye is taken out and he is completely blind
We could go two ways. A. Hiccup searches the battlefield and finds injured and blind Viggo Or!
B. (My fave) The Skrill saves Viggo, it makes sure he doesn't die and adopts Viggo. The Skrill takes Viggo to the Hidden World and just keeps him alive. Viggo believes he is in Valhalla, or Hel. Ether or.
Hiccup finds Viggo in the Hidden World with Toothless on one of their explorations (that is the Only thing I take from the show that isn't real) and Viggo says something around the lines of "So My dear Hiccup died, huh?" After hearing Hiccup speak.
I like to think Hiccup realized that Viggo was in love at least a little at this time, and Hiccup is in fact smart, so I don't know what exactly Hiccup would do in this situation but I like Blind Viggo.
