As much as the character of Mike was bothersome to me at times, it sure felt satisfying to let Jason Ralph have a callback and in-character appreciation (probably not intentional?) for Midge AND his irl partner with this line.
Because really, as much as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is carried by its production, writing, and every single person working hard behind the scenes, Rachel Brosnahan as Midge Maisel is just one motherfucking legend. What a showstopping performance.
