The observation is appreciated, but unnecessary. Raguna had felt off about where they were for the past half hour now. For someone who has a good sense of direction, it’s much more readily apparent when the opposite happens to be the case. There’s a bit of him that wants to place blame elsewhere, as accepting it unto himself is more than a little embarrassing. Gods forbid he puts any of that on the Nohrian Princess.

“I know we’re lost. Better to be open about that, I think. But the good news is we haven’t been lost for very long...” Head turns and blue eyes try to make sense of their surroundings. The canopy of trees makes ascertaining landmarks like mountains difficult, and peeling his senses for the sound of running water wasn’t doing well either.  Were he able to find something to center himself with he’d feel much more comfortable. Waiting for night to fall and navigate by the stars was also a bad idea... even if it would be easy to do.

         it was a heavier burden most thought, having so many people who wanted to understand her, to puzzler her out, when she couldn’t say she truly understood herself. being what she was-- whatever that was-- would seemingly never give her a chance to feel normal. it felt so unfair, but it was against her nature to whine and pout.

Sylvain grins, but it’s not as big as it usually is. It looks - and feels - fake and weak, a pale imitation of the real thing. He holds his side, trying to stem the bleeding. It didn’t hurt before, but with Felix’s fretting, he’s painfully aware of it now. He huffs a laugh, but it’s a pathetic sound. He’s lost a considerable amount of blood already.

“Hah-” He winces, hissing through his teeth. “You’re really that worried about me?” Sylvain is surprised; a part of him thought Felix really did hate him. The world is fading, and Sylvain drops to one knee. He gasps. “Y- you can go and fetch a medic any time, now. You won’t leave me to die, right?”

Hands raise behind his head as Sylvain laughs. Ingrid says this kind of thing a lot, and Sylvain has learned to read between the lines. He is not worth the aggravation. Ingrid insists on “cleaning up his messes”, as she calls them, no matter how much he tells her she doesn’t have to. He does appreciate it, though. Knowing that someone always has his back is reassuring, even if he does sometimes feel guilty about her feeling like she has to clean up after him.

He wonders if she would have thought Glenn was worth the aggravation. She still talks about him. Sylvain doesn’t. He doesn’t because something broke in him the day Glenn died, the one good big brother figure he’d ever known, and he didn’t feel like it was his place to feel that way. Not when Glenn wasn’t his brother. Not when Glenn wasn’t his future husband.

And so he smiles, like he always does, and gives Ingrid a wink.

          selkie had been in the middle of the hunt of her most dangerous prey, some cakes a poor soul had left unattended, but she nearly jumped three feet into the air when she felt arms wrap around her. her impulse was to squirm, as her papa had told her to do in case poachers stumbled on her, but she soon saw a swishing tail much like her and realized who her attacker was.

“No, no, no, no!” Lysithea exclaims as a puff of smoke starts to emerge between the two. With a sigh of frustration, Lysithea casts a wind spell to clear the training grounds. As the smoke clears, she can see a frustrated Felix, panting with his hand out. She almost feels sorry for him. Almost.

“I don’t think a magic class is right for you, Felix. No matter how many times we try the simplest spell, it ends up in smoke.” When Lysithea had promised to help Felix get basic magic down for a Mortal Servant exam, she thought it would be smoother. Maybe his stubbornness is holding him back? That doesn’t make sense though, as she could be quite stubborn too.

“Oh, but, but-!”

She didn’t want to. It was so embarrassing. She knew Felix of all people wasn’t going to make fun of her - not intentionally, at least. He liked the sound of her voice, or so he claimed. Flustered, Annette tucked some of her hair behind her ear. Okay. She could sing for him. As long as he stopped trying to hide behind the flowers to hear her. She took in a deep breath.

Raguna tried to be insistent that he could take care of the injury himself. Sakura would be much better using her talents and abilities to help the other soldiers that had been wounded during the last clash with the encroaching Nohrian forces. Sakura, however, was quite insistent herself, enough so that she was giving the farmer a run for his money. After a moment of trying to wave off her concerns he presents the injury on his arm, tearing away the rest of the ruined sleeve of his armor.

“This was my mistake though, I should be taking care of this myself so you can tend to the other soldiers.” The once-farmer winces as the shrine maiden cleans the area, dirt and mud from where he’d fallen making it look a fair bit worse than it actually was. A sword had sunk deep into his arm. barely deflected in time with a naginata that he had, as a result, lost in the fight. That was another thing weighing on him was procuring another weapon when supplies could be so short.

A wince pauses her progress, but he shakes his head and offers her a reassuring smile.

“S-sorry, I’m fine, you can keep going. It’s better to just get it over with.” If he was being more honest, he would admit he preferred Sakura’s attentions to his own. Even barring how kind she was, her healing skill made his own patching abilities look haphazard. There’s another smile in his features as he lids his eyes as her healing begins knitting the laceration back together.
