He was irritated and exhausted, worn out and done with it all even after getting used to it for the past couple days. Arthur just wanted it all to end. His blindness, that is. with a groan, Arthur reached up and rubbed his eyes as he felt an itch take place in first one eye, then the other. Of course, this was one of those itches that didn’t go away on the first try. No, this one persisted to a burning ache and had Arthur calling out to Lucan for eyedrops.
“Ah’m here, Artie. Hol’ still fer jus’ a second.” Lucan said after rushing up to his cousin with the eyedrops in hand, he gently pried open one of the blond’s eyes and paused as he noticed something.
“Shit, Lucan!” Arthur angrily pulled the hand off his face, his eyes squeezing tightly shut as he sat up. “Did you just shine a light in my eye? Not cool, man!”
“Ah did no such thing!” Lucan shot back with a growl. Then it clicked for both of them - especially as Arthur’s pain was subsiding. The blond carefully eased his eyes open, the blurry, unclear shapes of the living room coming into focus and clearing into his normal vision once more. He could see!
“My eyes! They’re back to normal!” Arthur leapt up with a whoop and upon landing, spun to hug Lucan, “Oh, I’ve never been so happy to see your ugly mug again!” Lucan scowled at the jab and then grinned as he took Arthur into a headlock and gave him a noogie. All was right with the world again.
