Magic duels are great. But if you write it in such a way that it ends up reduced to a tug o’ war with particle effects, I will reach through the screen and smack you upside the head.

Why is it that all the sorcerers in Merlin do in a fight is send their opponent flying? i mean, we’ve seen merlin light fires, so he could set someone’s head on fire? make a blade out of fire and stab? he can move things with his mind? he can pick up logs and trees and shit and yeet them at morgana? he can probably summon light to blind his enemies? maybe he can strangle people with jungle vines and creepers? like so much potential smh
You know what’s really fun?
When you’re playing a superfriends deck and your opponent concedes, so you can just kinda take your time and go off as much as you want against the AI without feeling bad about it.
Nice
I now know why they're stopping Magic: Duels after Amonket, if they continued every copy of the game would be pirated.

Magic Duels To No Longer Receive Updates
If you are a player of Wizards’ free-to-play service Magic Duels, this news pertains to you. Today, Wizards announced in an article on the official site that Magic Duels is being shelved to make way for the next digital product that the company is working on. Amonkhet was confirmed to be the final set to release on the platform; Hour of Devastation will not be receiving a Duels release.
Magic Duels launched alongside the Magic Origins core set and was updated since with the majority of cards from each new expansion as they were released in paper form. The platform was designed as a learning tool for new players as well as an online play environment that was free to use, but many players found it to be plagued with issues at launch. Because of its simplified play structure, strict deck construction rules that limited cards based on rarity, and omission of more complicated cards including marquee pieces like Emrakul, the Promised End, some more enfranchised players were often dissatisfied with it. Still, it was Magic, and it did find a decent following of players simply because of that fact.
Preliminary word from Wizards about an upcoming Magic MMO game has dropped, but information is currently scarce as the project is being kept under wraps. It’s currently unknown if this project was the one that necessitated production ending on Duels as a platform.Â
