I can never make up my mind about magentaspreen. The leaves are magical. How many plants shed sparkling pink glitter all over your salad? It's dead easy to grow, self seeds rampantly, seems invulnerable to pests, and provides homes for adorable flower spiders.
The only problem is, I find the taste meh, and even one plant produces far more leaves than my family will consume - let alone the dozen or so that I can't bring myself to pull up. It takes up a lot of room, and when it gets big and prominent, the pink seems to fade, leaving it plain and weedy looking. Like this:
