Whys it mattered if you're a married mage or not?
"Rumor has it that love tames your magic ability. So if you're not in love, you have magic the royals can't contain, big issue for them. Getting married means I can just lie and do what I want."

Miss Rosalind's mom, why do you tolerate this troglodyte?
"Short answer: I have to.
Long answer: I was actually going to marry someone else. But they broke up with me because they were gonna have another mages kid. And because the local royalty is full of asses, I needed to be in a marriage or engaged. Asked Aladric out to shut them up, seal the mountain full of monsters, and to get people off my back.
At this point the divorce process is gonna be longer then I have left because of the fuckin royals interfering with every mages personal info. So I might as well stay, my heart will stop eventually and it's not like we have kids to get hurt if I do die."
What is Time Magic in your story ?
I would consider those to be called "Chrono Mages" within the story, though there's no official characters with time magic atm
How rare would it be for someone to be born with the ability to use "Time Magic" or "Spatial Magic", assuming that that's even possible in this world?
Hmm, perhaps so. Though I'd consider "spatial" magic to tie more into Celestial mages like Headmaster Auran and Queen Ceraeza.
Even though there are Healer Mages and Speed Mages, are other the types of mages capable of minor healing magic and using their mana to boost their speed? Are there classes on healing magic and speed magic for those who don't have those powers as their actual elements?
Some mage variants are able to add some "boosting" spells like speed to their skills; like Raider for example is able to "zip" himself around in a blink of an eye with his Electric magic (think a bit like DC Flash's lightning speed effects).
In other examples, though its not commonly known as the "norm" some Dark mages are able to heal themselves with certain spells (though some side effects include leaving scars that look more "jagged"/dark than others).

*brushes dust* -Since its been quite awhile since I posted some lore stuff here, so here's a lil something delving into the Crane's family history... starting with Noira's own namesake, the great "Victress Noira"~
Many centuries ago, back in the days of ancient mage customs, lived a girl born simply as âLenoira Craneâ. A feisty little one who grew up by the docks with her fisherman father, she often helped him by the boats via using her water magic to capture fish. While they didnât have much money (thus no means to send Lenoira off to school), Lenoira and her father at least had eachother to keep their spirits up. Which made it all the more tragic when they were ambushed by pirates one day while at sea, costing the life of Lenoiraâs father when he refused to give into their demands.
Surviving through sheer resilience with what was left of their boat, Lenoira swore revenge in honor of her father, by becoming a pirate in her own right. Proving persistent enough to track down and enact her revenge on the same crew that took her father away, the now-empty ship became Lenoiraâs to reclaim⌠under her new moniker of âVictress Noiraâ (often known by other variant like âNoira the Victressâ or simply just âVictressâ)
The next few years of Victress Noiraâs life became filled with cutthroat piracy, earning her many admirers and enemies at the same time. One fight on the high seas proved risky enough to throw her off her own ship⌠seeming to spell certain death if it werenât for a beautiful, fish tailed-figure saving her life...
The details of this gets lost in the Crane family passages, but whatâs most known is that this âsaviorâ would be the first and only to have stolen the Victressâ heart⌠as she returned to her crew later on in not just perfect health, but a whole bundle of children to carry on her legacy.
Many more years would pass⌠but eventually, even the Victress couldnât stay on the waves forever as she grew older. Retiring her family and all her prized treasure to a remote island), her children would eventually venture off on their own pursuits while the Victress took her final, peaceful breaths in her sleep (her beloved from the waves not too far behind her nearby)âŚ
The Victressâ legacy stayed strong in many more generations to come down the line, from her namesake becoming the stuff of campfire legends, to even her water magic seeming the most present now in her current (and youngest) descendant⌠Noira~ đ
TTM Lore: Mage Auras
From the ancient beginnings of Faes bestowing humans with their own magic, Mages have evolved to develop their own type of magical force known as an âAuraâ, to act as the key to unlocking what their eventual form of magic will grow to be like.Â
Auras are usually detected from in the womb by a mage doctorâs enchanted mirror (the TTM-equivalent to an ultrasound monitor), and can come in a variety of types ranging from bold and fiery (Fire mage), calm and cooling (Water mage), firm and peaceful (Earth mage), bright and warming (Light mage), bleak and foreboding (Dark mage) and so on...Â
Though normally expected for each mage to carry their own unique and individual Auras, sometimes there will be a case where a Mage parent will end up passing down an Aura of their own that will lead to the child developing near-identical powers. In this case, itâs a phenomenon called an âAura-bondâ which in most cases will cause both parent and child to form an emotional bond that is especially strong on a deep, psychological level. Their levels of magic tend to flare up more if they team up in battle, feeling empathetic with their feelings more often then not, and such a connection could even allow them to sense when the otherâs at risk for being in danger long before it actually happens.Â
Some examples of this Aura-bond phenomenon happening among the current cast includes Prym, Tula and Aevri with their fathers (Luka, Ivor and Riu, respectively), Autem with her father Elken, Hakem with his mother Furaha, Tawnie with her mother Gladionna, Kaz with his father (even though Kaz never technically âmetâ him before), and many more unexplored as well.Â
Unfortunately, not every Aura-bond case is going to guarantee a completely healthy and mutual dynamic for both parties... such as if the parent in question turns out to be abusive/rejecting towards the child (ex. Kain, Cable), or if something dire happened to the child that caused the bond to âseverâ or tarnish too badly to ever fully repair (ex. Fevrier). For the party effected most by these damaged bonds, their Aura will often times turn a darker, "taintedâ color that doesnât always guarantee for the most âstableâ of spells to be unleashed... so theyâre often times discouraged by other Mages from joining their potential traveling groups.Â
Noah is the High Mage of Kindness. He is a hunter and the youngest of the group being 18 years old. He's usually very mature but has a tendency to revert into a more childish level under certain conditions.
Combat wise, Noah has little to offer in magic and usually resorts to normal weapons such as knives and bow and arrows. He's excellent at tracking people, he's resourceful, and has a talent for crafting makeshift traps, items, and weapons out of whatever materials and objects in the immediate area.
When it comes to magic, Noah usually carries a bag with various seeds and saplings that he can quickly grow with his magic to alter the environment to his advantage. Noah can create temporary shields to protect his allies. As the shields take damage it chips away at his own energy and if he doesn't drop them before they shatter, they render him unconscious. He's also skilled at healing magic but, like his shields, the more he uses it to help people, the more it drains his own life energy. Because of these trade offs he tends to rest a lot, doesn't handle extreme stress well, and usually has to rely on conventional weapons rather than magic.
Noah's totem necklace belonged to the previous High Mage of Kindness. The two were close friends and they were alone when he died in The Calamity and gave the necklace to him. The totem necklace was the High Mage's "treasure" and summoned Noah's Guardian, Koba, passing the title to him. Given the chaotic situation they were in, not many people figured it out until it was over and the dust settled. Noah never really wanted to be the High Mage and, seeing the growing tensions between Humans and Monsters, he was afraid and decided to disappear and hide away in the forest to avoid any possible conflicts that would arise.
