ooof, poor Jordan Kennedy
ah, cosmic horror, where you're still fxcked, but now slightly to the left!
MAG120: "And at last, the Archivist looks up. At last, he looks into the eye that sees all, and knows all, and clutches at the secret terrors of your heart. The Ceaseless Watcher of all that is, and all that was; the voracious, infinite hunger the tears at his soul, invoking him to discover, to observe, to experience all, and everything, and forever.
It stares into him, and it stares out of him, and he is falling into the devouring eternity of its pupil. He wants to cry out in horror, but he cannot.
He. Is. Whole."
MAG184: "Ceaseless Watcher, look upon this man, subsumed by terror and gripped with swarming fear. Gaze into him, through him… And out of him.
Make him a vessel of your hunger, staring out and harvesting with a thousand, thousand, thousand, tiny, eager, eyes.
Gift him your power and protection. Make him yours."
Chants to induct a Watcher

Really hammering home the tragedy, in this horror tragedy, this week. I have, a lot of thoughts...
Obsessed with the implications of Jon’s actions in Mag184, Like Ants.
I grasped the problems with consent immediately upon realizing what he was doing to the Jordan in the ant tunnels, and I feel like it might become one of my favorite moments in the series?
It’s a fascinating exploration of the morality of this new hell world, and seeing the different reactions to his transforming someone without asking them if they wanted to be transformed is so so interesting.
But I also think it speaks to a deeper level of Jon wanting someone to be like him. Martin might be the avatar of the lonely, but Jon is truly alone in this world up until this point. Nobody else is like him… until now.

ah thanks, mate. that clears it up.
Jordan Kennedy: ants last night, and ants the night before... 🎵
So Jordan is exactly where he was in Jon's dreams from episode 120. Which makes sense of course, even though I hadn't thought about that until now. But narrativly that's a nice closed circle. And again I wonder where Georgie and Melanie are, because they were in his dreams too, but are somehow somewhere else.
