someone else told me the same thing. goddamit
It seems to happen periodically. And, of course, I only catch it when the people Iâm no longer following post in the tags I monitor. I wish theyâd fix it.
madelinelime: how did they even watch the show and not realize theyre gay
All of those gay actions could easily be explained as platonic, you see. Â My Japanese friends said so. Itâs cultural differences. Iâm not homophobic Iâm just being objective. :) :) :) :)
cringe.Â

you said sheâs being blunt. if she IS watching other things, thatâs not at all being blunt. And there ARE creators that are this snotty.
Iâm not at the panel, so I can hardly tell tone re: being blunt. I just assumed because to me she seems that way during interviews at times.Â
Sheâs probably NOT watching other things. Sheâs busy af considering sheâs been working on multiple projects (producing openings for MAPPA, undoubtedly preproduction for the YOI film, traveling to cons, etc).Â
Kubo literally said South Park so neither of them answered a Japanese show. I just donât really care, and I admire that sheâs a woman in the industry that fearlessly pushes to make the stuff she wants to watch. Thatâs ballsy as fuck. I posted the quote because I thought it funny how frank she seemed. Thatâs rare in the industry. Â
She has directors that sheâs openly admired before so she obviously watches their stuff, but she doesnât have to watch other anime lately if she doesnât want to. People only have so much time anyway.Â

Some people are incapable of enjoying anything without making it unnecessary angsty
Ughhh why this fandom though? Like canât they go to a fandom where heavy angst is more canon appropriate? There are plenty of series like that... :\Â

wouldnt happen if anyone ever understood slytherin. but what can one do when even jkr apparently didnt
I mean these very much are JKRâs books. You can sort by criteria not included in her books (and supplementary info if you care for it) if you want, but in the end, theyâre still very much her books whether you like it or not, and getting on peopleâs case for ânot understanding Slytherinâ because like, of some criteria you decided on based on your personal preferences (by your own admittance since you claim she doesnât understand the house) is a bit uh, unfair.
Someone doesnât ânot understand Slytherinâ because they donât subscribe to what is essentially a personal view that apparently according to you actually goes against the books? IDK??Â
