have some fun pics of nature i took and probably already posted on here
are you doing another pumpkin this year?
I am! I have a Naboo design that I worked out last year but ran out of time to complete, but I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to do that one. I’m tossing around a lot of ideas. I’ve thought about doing RiD (either as themselves or as Anthrax and Ebola), but now that I’m getting into Steven Universe, I am also considering doing a design to honor that. I would do a Holtzmann/Ghostbusters pumpkin, but so far I am planning to actually BE Holtzmann for Halloween, so... that seems like overkill.
I am also seriously considering doing Bowie and Prince pumpkins as tributes.
HAVE YOU POSTED YOUR PUMPKINS?!
I have! I did! You can see my pumpkins* right here! :D
*Not actually a euphemism.

I’ve done 2 sleep studies and they’re definitely not as scary as you think they’re going to be but I was anxious too. All the electrodes on your face look hilarious. It’s always good to get this stuff checked out!
You are right on all counts! It really is good to get this stuff checked out. My brother turned out to have severe sleep apnea, and it turned out that he was being deprived of oxygen a LOT during the night. His BiPAP machine has really made a huge difference in his life. He didn't realize how many of his problems stemmed from that, until it started to be treated!
It was also not as scary as I feared. I am very, VERY claustrophobic about things enclosing my face or interfering with my breathing (as in: instant panic attack, without fail), but even though there is a teeny little nasal monitor to measure how you're breathing and everything, it was totally light and not restrictive in any way, and that was easy for me to handle. (Figuring out how to go to the bathroom once I was full Electro Girl was much trickier!) But the electrodes do look really hilarious, and even going to bed early worked so much better than I'd feared. I was in this cozy private suite, and it's kind of like a soothing little cave away from the outside world (no cell service, no distractions), which makes it easier to relax and sleep. I even had my own television and recliner, to help me relax!
So: I am glad I did it, and for anybody who suspects they should do it or has been recommended to do it but is apprehensive, I recommend that you go ahead and DO IT! It's not as scary or uncomfortable as you might think it would be, and getting a real problem diagnosed, so that you can get the proper treatment, is totally worth it.
Besides, they let you out at 5:30 AM, which is the perfect excuse to go hit up the bakeries and get THE freshest donuts and bagels. Call it a reward for bravery. ;)

people wanting to annoy you is a thing? Seriously? Why? I just don't get it. PEOPLE SHOULDN'T WANT THAT. NO ANNOYING CARLY. NONE OF THAT.
omg right? ppl think it's funny to mess up my hair or mush my face or just generally poke and annoy me bc i get all scrunchy and squeaky and red but omg it's annoying
