omg so I signed up to tutor kids at an elementary school via webcam and by doing so, I got a free macbook pro to use until the end of the year (cool, right?) 

SO MY DUMBASS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THIS AND I TRIED TO GET PHOTOSHOP! I call myself a dumbass because:

1. I have no experience with Macs; I'm a PC girl but I'm definitely getting a MacBook Pro for college!

2. THIS ISN'T MY LAPTOP! So when I tried installing it...I needed an Admin username and password...and my account was Standard (makes sense).

3. I DOWNLOADED SOME UTORRENT SHIT. Remember how I said I had no experience with Macs? Well yeah, after realizing I couldn't download Photoshop, I deleted all evidence lol (well at least I thought I did). Today I was using it, and BAM I was bombarded by Ads and other stuff.

4. I was so terrified that when there was a pop up with a number, I CALLED IT? idk I was terrified dude. It put me on hold so I hung up and deleted that from my history calls. idk if that will do anything though.

Needless to say, I managed to delete everything that looked sketchy on the Mac...I went through the library, login things, applications, extensions etc. I don't want to download a mac cleaner bc that might install even more programs!

So hopefully I managed to get rid of the virus. It was called macvx if you're curious. If you have some advice of how else I can check if it's virus free let me know! Ugh, so angry with myself for trying to download photoshop on a mac which ISN'T mine.
