Macharius 'Vulcan' of the Cadian 122nd.
The Macharius super-heavy tank is a 'second' generation Baneblade - a tank that lacks the advanced STC technology of the Baneblade but fulfils the same battlefield role.
The Macharius helps to fill the short fall in Baneblade production and is deployed alongside other super heavy tanks in the Imperial Guard's heavy tank companies.
The Vulcan variant equips the super heavy tank with the fearsome Vulcan mega bolter, a weapon usually carried by titans. It is a multiple-barrelled gatling autocannon, firing thousands of rounds per minute in a destructive torrent, turning the standard Marcharius into a highly effective anti-personnel weapon.
A kit bash I picked up on Ebay already painted for a bargain price. Big thanks to the seller as this saved me 90% of the effort it would have required to paint this tank from scratch and as real Macharius models are rare and expensive to find on Ebay, this is the next best thing.
Again, the model is about 90% of the way there to an actual one as I think the bulk of the model is a 3D print but the seller has converted it with rivets, extra greebling, and some extra stuff under the tracks that I cant work out.
To make it 'mine' I replaced the Krieg gunner that was mounted in the hatch with a classic Cadian sentinel driver to give the appearance of a mounted gunner. I also spruced up the dark grey paintjob with a dry brush of blue to match my 122nd Cadians to give the appearance of weathered and dirty armour without needing to repaint the entire tank, while also retaining the majority of the transfers that had been applied. And the repainted much of the dirt and grime on the tank tracks and the tanks rear section to match the basing on the rest of my Cadian army.
