A pair of Cyclops Remote Controlled Demolition Vehicle's of the Cadian 122nd.
The operators are made from the Kreig Combat Engineers equipped with the remote mine controllers with heads from the Cadian Upgrades frame.
I chose the capped heads to de Kreig-ify them as much as a simple head swap could, and make them stand out from the rest of the models in this army and try to hide their scale difference somewhat.
30 Traitor Guard plus commander for my 3rd edition Warhammer 40,000 Lost and the Damned army from Codex: Eye of Terror.
Decided to take a break from painting cadians and whip these up over the weekend using contrasts only. They could do with a metalic drybrush on their guns and such but I ran out of time so they will do for now.
See below for more detail of how these fit into my 13th Black Crusade Miniatures Project; its a state of mind!
With my 13th Black Crusade Miniatures Project (13bcmp) I am hoping to revive a bunch of my old miniatures and get them table top ready. These are models i bought and built between a decade and a half and two decades ago, so they bear the hallmarks of tween building tendancies:
-slumped poses from bad glue
-damaged models from improper care
-inconsistent paintjobs from lack of skill
So this bunch are a mix of chaos cultist models, new traitor guardsmen models, and old cadian models that i have 'fixed' using spares from the new traitor guardsmen kit.
For instance I actually inherited a bunch of my mates old cadians, but for some reason during his youth he had snipped all the barrels off the lasguns so they looked like they were pointing planks of wood at their enemies. So off came their arms, on went spares from the moden kit, and along with a few headswaps, bosh 10 minis rescued from ignominy and along with the paint job they are now looking ace!
Very happy with this bunch, hoping to do some more of these soon, and then stretch this 'fix it' principle to otger parts of my collection (cureently side eying my old space wolves and eldar).
Chaos Ogryns / Big Mutants for my Lost and the Damned army from the 3rd edition Codex Eye of Terror.
I had the opportunity to try to make them as similar to the chaos 'Traitor Enforcer' Ogryn as possible as I have one of those squirrelled away somewhere, and I want to add him to the squad. Very happy with how they turned out. One day I will 'prune' my old mutants from that era as each has about 8 arms and look a little ridiculous, but this new era of this army is off to a great start.
