Nightwing vol 2 44 was published with a cover date of June 2000. The line "..."axed by some out of town psycho vigilante. The Pulverizer, the Penetrator? I forget," was in reference to the Marvel character the Punisher. He was speaking of the Marvel/DC crossover Punisher and Batman: Deadly Knights. ("The Stalkers", Nightwing vol 2 44, DC Comic Event)
