Well, in the climax of the book, what do we see Mab do for him? When they are trying to help Thomas? She does one of the most intense pieces of spell work we have seen in the books and literally bends time and existence to make just a bit more time for him.

The best way to define how Jaxon feels about Mabile is 'it's complicated'.
