You choose the target for the copy of the ability. There's no randomness involved here.
The copy of the ability is created with the same target as the original ability and will keep that target if you choose not to change it.

The first character I first fell in love with: Aragorn, obviouslyThe character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Boromir! I was a movie fan first and was sort of meh about him, but after I read the books I was like HOLY SHIT GONDOR IS A FUCKED-UP PLACE and now I understand that Boromir is amazing. Also kind of a dick. But amazing.The character everyone else loves that I donāt: Book-Faramir. SORRYĀ āBOUT IT YāALL BUT I WILL NEVER CARE. Movie-Faramir 4 evs. Also tbh Frodo sometimes?? Heās kind of a whiner. Basically I get along fine with ppl who are likeĀ āYeah heās a whiner but his suffering is so noble and beautifulā because Iām likeĀ ātruā and then we eat popcorn.Ā The character I love that everyone else hates: SHELOB. I think other people donāt hateĀ her, exactly, theyāre just creeped out by her? But anyway I love her and I am delighted that she exists. Also maybe Haldir? I love Movie-Haldir!
