Apologies if you gave me a birthday present or any sort of present, but I will not be getting anyone anything for Christmas; besides not having much $ to spare, I'm also not religious, and Christmas is a religious holiday. I feel bad that capitalism has turned it into a day where people just buy things for each other.
No doubt getting and giving gifts is enjoyable, but I think it's ill-fitting as a non-religious person to 'celebrate' / take part in a religious holiday.
