“what’s there not to miss?” he says immediately, eyes lighting up as he begins talking a mile a minute. “the beaches, the weather, my ma, the twins. fuck, man, i’d say i even miss the traffic, sitting on the 405, blasting music with the windows down in my beat up honda civic.” he barks out a laugh, his expression taking on one of nostalgia as his eyes seem to look past the physical plane and into another time. “i really miss it; la is my home.”
he comes back to reality, the smile still lingering. “don’t get me wrong, though. i love seoul, too, and what i love about it most besides all the people i’ve met is the nightlife.” he nods his head, perfectly satisfied with his answer. “i mean, la had a nightlife, but, man, not like the one here in seoul. i’ve never been to new york, but i think seoul is really the city that never sleeps. there’s always something to do 24/7, and for the man who never sleeps, well, that’s a godsend.”
