usually, when hoshi says yes to a proposal of yours, you think it’s because he’s just that kind.

from when you became friends until right now, where he sits across from you at a coffee shop, hoshi has always been kind to you and obliged to whatever you ask of him.

unknown to you is the fact that hoshi, while kind like you think, is also in love with you.

from the moment he saw you for the first time until right now, where you sit across from him with the same warm smile on your face – the one that made him fall for you in the first place – hoshi has never been able to say no to you. simply because he takes any chance to spend time with you.

however, today is different. you can’t help the furrow in your brows when hoshi shakes his head at you.

“i’m not buying you that. never,” hoshi says, sipping from his straw.

“that’s not fair! you never say no to me.” you lean forward on the table with your palms, looking straight at hoshi.

“right, but usually your requests are harmless. this one… i can’t be a part of this, no matter how-” he stops himself, taking a sip again.

“what?” you frown.

“nothing.”

you shrug. “well, you don’t even know what I’m planning.”

“yeah, but i know you, you’re a terrible person,” he jokes. but his smile immediately drops when he sees the pout on your face. “no, no, i’m just kidding-” he begins, grabbing your hands.

you grin. “i know, silly.” hoshi smiles too, relieved.

“you could never be mean to me, even if you tried,” you giggle, the pink on hoshi’s cheeks making you smile wider.

a moment passes as silence fills the air, both of you distracting yourselves from the warmth between you with your iced drinks.

“how about this?” hoshi begins, still looking at the ice floating in the glass. “if i do what you ask…”

“yes?” you stare at him expectantly.

“will you go out with me? like, on a date?” he purses his lips, ready to hear your apologetic refusal.

but he doesn’t realise that you, too, have a hard time saying no to him, ever since you realised your own feelings for him.

you grin. “i’d do that voluntarily.”

You sat yourself down in the living room of the house you shared with your boyfriend, Soonyoung. Normally, you looked forward to when he came home, but today, not so much. You just didn’t want to see the frown on his face when he heard the news you had for him.

The oven timer signaled that the cookies you had made were done baking, and you got up to take them out. Cookies were always something you made whenever you were very happy or contemplating something heavy, so Soonyoung wasn’t sure what to expect when he smelled them as soon as he walked into the house.

He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed your cheek from behind, smiling to himself when he saw a hint of a smile grace your lips. He kissed you again.

“What’s all this for?”

“The most amazing person in the room, but you’ll see when I’m done.” You gave him a hint of a mischievous smile, and he matched it with a raised eyebrow.

“Alright then.” Soonyoung unwrapped his arms from your waist and left the kitchen to change into something more comfortable, and you arranged the cookies on a plate so they would cool down faster.

When he came back out you were washing the pans, so he sat down on the couch and played on his phone. You finished with the dishes and walked the plate of cookies to him, setting them down in his lap.

“Here’s some cookies and some very bad news. It was the only thing I could think of and-” Soonyoung set his phone down and took your hands in his to stop your rambling.

His eyes searched for a hint of what you were going to tell him on your face, but you could barely meet his eyes. You knew the news wasn’t the end of the world to yourself, but it would be a lot more disrupting to Soonyoung.

“How bad is it on a scale of messing up box macaroni to stepping on a Lego?”

“Spilling grape juice on a couch.” His eyes widened, having hoped it wasn’t that bad. “You know I love you and you are amazing, right?”

“You’re starting to scare me now. Just tell me.” Soonyoung took one of his hands back and picked up a cookie, eating half of it in one bite to brace himself for the news.

“My bratty little sister is coming to visit tomorrow and she’s bringing her devil dog.” Soonyoung started to laugh, and you took that as a good sign. The two of them didn’t have the best relationship, but at least he was laughing about it.

“Well as the most amazing person in the room,” he smirked at the repetition of your words. “I’ll gladly accept that over what I was thinking.”

41: Giving them space when they express wanting to have some time alone

~ A/N: hey everyone, just so you know, this is the LAST request we are taking from this specific prompt list. we are always taking requests based on your own headcanons though, so feel free to send those in! ~

soonyoung’s boundless energy catches you off guard, time to time, but it’s one of the things you adore most about him. you’ve gotten used to it over time.

admittedly, he’s overwhelming at times. but what makes you slightly confused and extremely grateful is that somehow, soonyoung just knows when to stay quiet and not to add to the chaos. from holding your hand in crowded spaces to changing the subject when he sees your shoulders tense, soonyoung has always known when to be subtle with his comforting. and it makes your heart glow with appreciation, especially when there is a chance he could make things worse.

today is one of those days. late to work, a disagreement with your boss, an argument with a friend – the day’s events have transformed into a stormy anger that sits on your shoulders, weighing you down visibly. soonyoung can almost feel your agitation as you walk through the door, which makes him refrain from launching into the funny story he was planning to tell you.

quietly, you put your things away and disappear into the bedroom. soonyoung desperately wants to follow you. but he knows you would have gone to him directly if you had really wanted his company. so, he stays put, giving you space.

an hour or so passes before you lay on your bed, calmer after a warm shower. you realise the silence surrounding you. almost as if on cue, soonyoung knocks gently on the open door, giving you a small smile. you beckon him over, and soon enough, his arms are wrapping around you, as if they are shielding any negativity from reaching you.

“you okay?” he mutters. you can’t contain your smile – there’s no one like him who knows and treats you so well. “yes,” you reply, pulling him down so you can lay together comfortably. you can’t help but kiss his arm and lean into him, his heart growing warmer at your love.

“is there anything else I can do for you?,” he asks softly.

life wants you to know that you’re gonna be soonyoung’s children mother sdfkhkfhsk okay but that was kinda accurate like he would be so excited but scared at the same time!!! such a proud dad!! a svt dreams are always interesting. Like we should make a svt dream night or smth, I have a lot to tell xD
