Robert Tucker PAIN (1840-1942). British. Exhibited RA 1866-76. Landscape artist and photographer. Born in London, moved to Surrey, then to Devon. Remarkably long-lived, he was painting well into his 98th year. These are his accurate dates, pace many of the Google results for him. (1) Interior of a Shetland Cottage, 1877, oil on canvas, (Shetland Museum and Archive). (2) Morning: Borrowdale, Cumberland, undated, pencil and watercolour (private collection). (3) Evening: Criccieth Beach, Caernarvonshire, North Wales, 1866, pencil and watercolour (private collection).
